Karac are a rock band - unlike many a teenage group - whose sheer weight of experience and, dare we say it, vintage, mark them out.
The duo of Porrino and Steve Jones have been together since the late 1970s in various musical projects: "We've always kept a groove and rhythm that gives each band we've been in have its own distinctive sound," they explain.
All four members of the band have a history in many of Wales' most notable traditional rock outfits, with Porrino and Steve Jones having been in the likes of Stepping Stone Band, Harvest Moon, Whyte Tygrs and Manolishi.
They have three self-released demos under their belt, all attesting to the quartet's love of traditional, proper rock: Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Wishbone Ash, Free and T-Rex.
"We have four experienced musicians and songwriters of very different influences who come together to write our own brand of rock music.
"We feature an eclectic mix of instruments and styles and our music draws heavily on the light-and-shade principles of song writing adopted by many of the classic bands that influenced us in our formative years.
Glynn Porrino was also involved in Nightwing and toured Europe contributing to several albums along the way. Nightwing are also producing a new album as we speak!
