2005 proved to be another successful year for Sinocence. After the gigs with Machinehead, Therapy? and Wednesday13 over the past 12 months the band set to work on writing the 3rd and final cd of the 'Acceptable Level of Violence' Trilogy. As it turned out the cd was not to be as they have signed a 2 year global distribution deal Casket (Copro) Records. This enabled us to release our debut 12 song album - (Still Black Life Pose) throughout the world. The Album includes two previously unreleased tracks 'Requiem' (never before heard) and 'Psycho' and will hit the shops on the 29th of August 2005. The 19th of May saw the band embark upon their UK + Ireland tour with fellow rockers OUTLAW for 10 days to 'raise all kinds of hell' and yes, that was to be the case. Returning to the studio on the the 13th of June was more than a pleasure to reunite with the 5th member of the band and producer - Franky McClay of Einstein Studios. The past few years has seen the band take a more concentrated approach to our music and the overall attitude within the Sin camp. the band has went from strength to strength and we have developed a writing style that is inclusive of everyone. We feel for the first time we have a secure unit with every member of the band having an integral part to play in Sinocence. We released ALOV at the start of 2004 and begun sending it to all parts of the globe to spread the word. We initially sent 100 cds to fanzines & webzines in bid to gauge the reception to our latest release. The response was extremely positive across the board and the reviews that were received back have been brilliant. We sent the cds to countries such as North America / South America, Australia, Holland, Italy, Germany, Japan and parts of Asia. The writing for the latest CD entitled The Beautiful Death Scene commenced literally a week after ALOV was recorded, with the goal to release 3 cds which will ultimately form a trilogy. Each one of these CDs will have similar underlying themes and ideas running through them. TBDS was a more experimental disc for us and with the attitude that nothing was preconceived with he band it turned out very diverse in style. Once again we set about gauging the appeal of the cd and sent it out across the globe for review to international mag/webzines. The reviews back have been fantastic and the critics have been impressed with the musical progression of the band within a short period of time. On the live front we have been focusing our efforts outside of our native Ireland with more gigs in the UK and shows due to be announced in Europe within the coming months. We also participated in a UK & Ireland wide battle of the bands competition sponsored by Terrorizer, Kerrang & Peaceville Records. In May of 04 we flew to London to compete in Heat 4 of the event and overcame stiff competition from 4 English bands to win a place in the Final in London. We came 2nd in the final which was a major disappointment to the band but with over 120 bands competing we felt our place was justified. Back home in Ireland weve been doing well and last year received our first call to back a major band in metal Legends MACHINEHEAD on their Irish date of the Ashes tour.. MCD had requested copies of our cds and on the strength of that the band won the slot. For more updates feel free to check out our website. 2006, and sinocence have built an extensive fan base and are writing the material for the new album at the minute. This is set to take us further and bang the heads of the fans harder, faster and with more aggression and passion than we had ever imagined.
